Self Identification of Aboriginal Ancestry in Healthcare (Kamloops, BC)

Rogue Data is proud to be a contributor to one of Canada’s first standardized iEHR initiatives dedicated to the health and wellness of Aboriginal Peoples.

Self-Identification of Aboriginal Ancestry provides an opportunity for Aboriginal peoples (who include individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis), to voluntarily offer information when accessing Interior Health (IH) programs and services.

Rogue Data worked with stakeholders to create a roadmap that streamlined and automated access to dedicated health services in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and in accordance all relevant ethical, standards, and policy safeguards related to consent. RDC provided conducted interviews, designed workflow systems, architecture design, application of standards, as well as policies and procedures related to governance and control of information by communities.
